iOS 5.0.1 up and running

Good News for all iOS 5.0.1 has been jailbroken successfully and that too untethered.....
In this guide i will show you exactly how to do this.


Lets initiate the process.....


REQUIREMENTS

1. iOS 5.0.1 ipsw file (google it and you'll find many there).
2. Redsnow 0.9.10 b3 (b3 is very important b1 and b2 conatain lots of bugs again google will help).
3. Requires iTunes 10.5 or later.
4. iDevice (iPhone above 3G would be required because of speed 3G will hang a lot)

So we are done with the requirements so now this will be it. Here are the Steps......

1. First of all put your iDevice in DFU mode. You can do it in redsnow itself.
• Start rednsow -> Click Extras -> Pwned DFU mode -> Follow the instructions on the screen
• For users who want to know about PWNED DFU mode- it is a deep DFU mode where the device accepts the iPhone for update without checking for many things like custom firmware. For more information just mail me at charanjit@borntohack.in
  
2. After getting into DFU mode screen must be black without anything on it. Then Start iTunes and hit shift+restore (for Windows users) or alt+restore (for Mac Users) and then browse to the ipsw file that you download of iOS 5.0.1
   
3. After all the things done your iPhone must come to life with the iPhone setup on the screen. You can do it but i recommend to jailbreak it first.
   
4. To jailbreak the device open redsnow 0.9.10 b3 again.
• goto extras->select ipsw -> browse to the download iOS 5.0.1 ipsw-> hit back.
• Now you should be on the screen where you selected Extras but this time select jailbreak.
• Follow the instructions on the screen when you hit next on redsnow
  
5. Now you have a jailbroken device in your hand.......  You can try Appsync 5.0+ if you want to install cracked apps just add the repository http://cydia.hackulo.us....
   While running cydia keep one thing in mind donot let the the screen get locked as update stops. For more information read step 6.
   
   
   (iPod, iPad and iPhone(who have official carrier) people stop here )
   
   
6. Now for those who want to unlock their iPhone for unofficial carriers just go to cydia and wait for the updating to finish ( you can see cydia updating on the top when the black bar is there and update is running. Here donot let the the screen get locked as update stops). Now install ultrasnow 1.2.5. it only supports a few basebands read my previous posts.
   
   
   Now you are done with the device go on have fun!!!!!!

time for iOS 5.0.1

If you depend upon an unlock (you are not on the official carrier) and you own an iPhone 3GS or 4 then this is the time for you to have experience of iOS 5.0.1

The most awaited ultrasnow 1.2.5 (to unlock the iPhone 4 and 3GS on iOS 5.0.1) is out now. Just simply update to iOS 5.0.1 and go to cydia then install ultrasnow (make sure while installing ultrasnow your sim is out of the sim tray) reboot the phone and while rebooting put the sim back in and then wait it may take upto 3 minutes so be patient!!!!!

So it is just a minor update for unlockable basebands to unlock the basebands that were unlockable earlier as well.

Install iOS 5 on iPhone

iOS 5 comes up with the whole new baseband version so upgrading via iTunes would not be a good idea for people who rely on unlocking of the device via ultrasnow (means using the not supported carriers as well). Presently only tethered jailbreak of all the devices on iOS 5 is available (menas you have to connect your device with the PC and boot with ibooty it will only then boot). So if you are ready to do this continue reading otherwise you can read it for knowledge of the same.

Ok so letz get started. So firstly you will need some softwares:-

1. iOS 5 ipsw file get it from here.
2. snowbreeze for iOS 5 get it from here.
3. redsnow for iOS 5 get it from here. for Windows and for mac.

first of all start snowbreeze and then put the ipsw file of iOS 5 into snowbreeze (by drag and drop or by locating the file) then build the ipsw. Snowbreeze will save your modified file on the desktop.
Now open iTunes and then keep pressing shift on the keyboard and then press restore button in iTunes and locate the file which is saved on desktop (snowbreeze modified). Software will install and then run redsnow. Now jailbreak as per instruction on redsnow and there it is ready to go ....

Appsync 4+ doesnot work with iOS 4.2.1 and further(Solution here)

First of all what is appsync ?
Appsync is a simple software that allows to install cracked apps from any site because idevices donot allow to install ipa files from itunes which are externally downloaded and cracked.....
cracked apps can be downloaded for free from here.
Appsync 4+ is not working with iOS 4.2.1 (and further)  a simple install will not work.
Here is an alternative method which works for sure ...

Step 1: download the appsync .deb file from here. from ur idevice.














Step 2: now open this file with ifile.













Step 3: now copy this file and paste to var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall.

Cracking computer tricks is really an interesting part of learning. If you are not familiar with the term “e-bomb” then this article must help you to learn about these interesting tricks of DOS Batch commands.

What is e-Bombing and how it works

The concept of “e-bomb” is very simple, it is some kind of program that opens a ton of windows and makes the victim computer crash.  e-bombing is a type of hacking technique it is generally used by the computer users to make fun with friends by crashing their computers or it is also used to make simple viruses(just for learning purpose). To make a simple e-bomb open your notepad and write the DOS commands written below:

Save the file with .bat extension. The commands written above help you to open the notepad 5 times on victim’s computer.

How e-bomb works?

An e-bomb contains a number of DOS commands executed by the command interpreter. The notepad serves as a simple text editor and .bat extension changes the file into batch file. In the code written above @echo off is the main command which triggers the e-bomb, and start notepad command tells the computer to open notepad.

Alternative to Notepad: Simply open your command prompt (cmd) and write the commands as discussed above.

Let’s take “e-bomb” Trick to the next level:

As written above now the question is how it helps in making of simple viruses the answer is very simple by adding a loop in the commands which opens infinite number of notepads or whatever application you want. Copy scripts written below in notepad and save file with ‘.bat’ extension.

2 days have gone by that apple as released the iOS 5 beta version for developers and also released iTunes 10.5 so here are the new features of the new OS...

1. Notifications :- A new notifications tab has been setup by apple which notifies u about everything which is going on in ur social network. this tab is opened by sliding ur finger down from the top of the screen to down (just like android has it) but lemme tell u its better. All notifications are there itself no apps nothing. Twitter integration has also been a major revolution in this.When u receive a message a notification comes up in the tab.
2. Reminder:- A new system has been setup of reminder where the reminders can be set and it will show on the icon itself no need to go inside it.
3. New Keyboard for iPad:- the people who like writing with thumb will be very happy with this keyboard which is split from the middle and one can type with thumbs only.
4. NewsStand:- if u r crazy about reading magazines, news etc then this app is for u. app stores combines all the updates and show it on home screen itself.

Multitasking in cydia...... Manual trick

Since today multitasking in cydia is not on for anyone but for iOS 4.x the people can enable multitasking in cydia.....

Here's what u'll need

1. ifile on iPhone or any idevice.
2. cydia ( obviously jailbroken device ).

now from ifile follow these instructions

go to / directory and then enter Applications from there.
now find the folder cydia.app and find the file info.plist open with text viewer and then edit it
go to the bottom of it and find the code like this

UIApplicationExitOnSuspend
this option will be true initially 

change this code to false


this is what u have to do this is ifile in which i am :-

                                                                         

 u r done and enjoy multitasking in cydia where u donot have to load everytime :)

Speed Up Detailed View in Explorer

If you like to view your files in Windows Explorer using the "Details" view here is a

tweak to speed up the listing of file attributes:

Viewing files in Windows Explorer using the "Details" mode shows various attributes

associated with each file shown. Some of these must be retrieved from the individual

files when you click on the directory for viewing. For a directory with numerous and

relatively large files (such as a folder in which one stores media, eg: *.mp3's, *.avi's

etc.), Windows Explorer lags as it reads through each one. Here's how to disable viewing

of unwanted attributes and speed up file browsing:

· Open Windows Explorer.

· Navigate to the folder which you wish to optimize.

· In "Details" mode right-click the bar at the top which displays the names of the

attribute columns.

· Uncheck any that are unwanted/unneeded.

Explorer will apply your preferences immediately, and longs lists of unnecessary

attributes will not be displayed.

Likewise, one may choose to display any information which is regarded as needed,

getting more out of Explorer.

Very Slow Boot When Networking ???

On some XP Pro installations, when connected to a network (peer-peer in this case),

the computer boot time is over 1:40. The system seems to freeze after logging in and the

desktop may not appear or will freeze for a minute. As timed with the utility,

Bootvis.exe, the problem was with the driver mrxsmb.dll, adding over 67 seconds to the

boot time. Turning off and restoring file and printer sharing eliminated 65 seconds from

the boot time.

· Alt-click (or right-click) on Network Places > Properties.

· Alt-click on Ethernet Adapter connection > Properties.

· Un-check "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" > OK.

· Reboot.

· If you need file or printer sharing, repeat the above, re-check the box and re-boot

again.

Set Processes Priority

Follow this tip to increase the priority of active processes, this will result in prioritisation of processes using the CPU.



CTRL-SHIFT-ESC

1.Go to the second tab called Processes, right click on one of the active processes, you will see the Set Priority option



2.For example, your Run your CDwriter program , set the priority higher, and guess what, no crashed CD’s
